RMA Process
The RMA procedure differs depending on where the product was purchased.
North American Customers: To obtain warranty service during the warranty period, register at the 3ware website and
submit an RMA request online at https://www.3ware.com.
You can check the date code on the serial number of your controller to see if it is under warranty http://www.3ware.com/kb/article.aspx?id=12229.
You will be issued a return material authorization (RMA) number. AMCC will send a replacement in approximately two business days after receipt of the defective unit (transit time not included). Advanced replacement is also available.
European Customers: To obtain warranty service during the warranty period, you have several options.
1. Obtain the RMA through your distributor
Please contact your distributor for their RMA procedure.
2. Obtain the RMA directly from AMCC Europe
Please call us at 00 44 (0)118 936 25 01 or complete and fax in the 'Customer Information Form AMCC Europe' from
http://3ware.com/support/index.asp Supported languages are Dutch, English, French, and German.
You will be issued a return material authorization (RMA) number. AMCC Europe will send a replacement in approximately
two business days after receipt of the defective unit (transit time not included). Advanced replacement is available
with a credit card number with authorization in the amount equaling the then current list price of the 3ware Serial
ATA RAID Controller, including shipping costs. Please Note: AMCC Europe will pay the standard shipping
costs within the European Union. Any special shipping fees, taxes, duties, or other fees are the responsibility
of the customer. As soon as practicable thereafter, AMCC Europe will ship the advanced replacement to you
at the address of your choosing. Upon receipt of the advanced replacement, we ask that you immediately ship the defective
product to the address that you will be provided.
If AMCC receives the defective AMCC 3ware Serial ATA RAID Controller from you within thirty (30) days of the
date of shipment of the advanced replacement, AMCC will destroy your credit card authorization and you will not
be charged for the advanced replacement.
APAC: Please submit your RMA through your distributor.
