MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.-Mar. 15, 2001 - 3ware® Inc., today announced that the company was selected
by the attendees of the annual Technologic Partners' Network Outlook conference
as one of the 10 private networking companies judged most likely to succeed as a
public company. 3ware, one of 89 private firms invited to present their business
plan at Network Outlook, received the Investors' Choice award in acknowledgement
of the company's exceptional promise in the network storage industry.
Investors' Choice honorees were chosen by an audience of more than 600
investment and network industry professionals. Selections and recommendations
were completed by a panel of distinguished network investors, including Richard
H. Kimball, general partner at Technology Crossover Ventures; Frank McEvoy,
senior research analyst broadband access systems at U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray;
Naser Partovi, managing director at Enterprise Partners Venture Capital; and
Fred Wang, partner at Trinity Ventures.
This recognition builds on the momentum 3ware has established as the first
company to develop and deliver Gigabit Ethernet storage solutions that offer a
cost-effective, standards-based alternative to fibre-channel storage
technologies. With 3ware's next-generation storage products, companies can, for
the first time, leverage existing investments in tools and infrastructure to
easily and quickly deliver and grow their enterprise-class storage solutions on
demand.
"We are honored to be one of the 10 companies selected by the conference
attendees and investors to receive the Investors' Choice award," said Beau
Vrolyk, president and CEO of 3ware, Inc. "Based on our proven customer success
and investor confidence, the 3ware NSU, the first Gigabit Ethernet storage
solution, will be a large segment of the industry in 2001 and 3ware is well
positioned to lead the way."
Technologic Partners' conferences attract top industry leaders and
